The new school was constructed within the existing school grounds and provides approximately 10,000sqm of modern teaching and sports facilities.
Facilities within the 'butterfly' shaped school include:-
* Science Department including laboratories
* Performing Arts Department
* Modern Language Department
The contract also includes a sports village to strengthen the school's 'Sports College' status, and includes a sports hall, fitness suite, dance studio and changing areas. The project also provides new sports pitches.
The old school buildings were demolished on completion of the new facilities.
A high sustainbability agenda includes wind chimneys, solar shading, roof lights and thermal massing.
