On behalf of ABSE, I am delighted to be here today to join all of us here to mark the successful completion and opening of Ken Start House.
I am sure all of us are aware what is involved to successfully achieve, produce and deliver a scheme such as this.
From its initial infancy over many years through to today has involved many individuals and organisations in the process. But to name a few, Ken Start himself, Rochford District Council, HCA and Genesis Housing Group.
One of the key ingredients of a delivering a safe and successful construction project is teamwork.
Ken Start House is an excellent example of good teamwork between all those involved in the construction process and I take this opportunity of thanking the employer’s agents and QS HBW Partnership, the architects E&M Design and the structural engineers John Sime Associates in working with our construction team headed by Malcolm Lowe, contracts manager in constructing Ken Start House to the highest standards of quality and ahead of programme.
This just leaves me to thank our Client Genesis Housing group for providing ABSE with this opportunity and wishing all the prospective incoming residents of Ken Start House all the very best in their new homes.
