Description

The construction of a mixed development of private apartments and commercial/retail units on a prominent corner plot at the top of Guildford High Street, on the site of the old Odeon Cinema.

A concrete frame forms the structure for 72 apartments, leisure facilities including a swimming pool and retail and restaurant units at the front of the site. The development is served by 2 levels of basement car parking and double height service yard, above this a podium level is landscaped to include covered walkways and an elaborate water feature. The flats will be finished to a high standard with all internal walls being constructed using a partitioning system. Most of the external envelope is clad in brickwork with render, curtain walling and reconstituted stone detail.
