A dedicated management and administration team for the Aftercare Department is based in our North Cheam office and able to call upon the resources of all other departments to ensure that any problems are attended to promptly and with the minimum of fuss. We believe that our customers are the most important part of our business and responding to their needs once they have occupied their building is vital to ensuring customer satisfaction and the continuing future of our company.

We have a small team of experienced multi-skilled operatives capable of attending to most of the problems which may arise from practical completion until and including the end of the defect liability period, backed up by specialist subcontractors where particular expertise is required.

The team members have a wide range of experience both in site works and aftercare and understand the need to minimise the disruption that working in occupied premises can often cause.

Alan Rowlands is the After Care Manager and joined Allenbuild in 2003. He graduated from the South Bank University with a B.Sc. Hons Degree in Construction Management in 1995.

Alan has worked full time in the construction industry since 1988 working on a wide range of projects in the commercial, leisure, education, healthcare and residential sectors. Having a strong background in site management since 1998, he has been involved in the post-contract side of the business, attending to 12-month defects and latent defects.

Alan is very customer focused and has gained considerable experience in organising his work around the needs and constraints of our customer’s businesses to minimise the disruption caused by the rectification of whatever defects may arise. Alan is also a natural problem solver and uses this skill to overcome problems that might otherwise involve considerable disruption. Alan’s main aim is to leave our Clients with the best possible impression of Allenbuild and sure in the knowledge that assistance is available.

    Construction of 12 storey flats and starter homes together with associated parking
  • Sheep Lane, Hackney – Value £8.0m
    Social housing developments providing 48 units and retail units.
  • Pier Road, Woolwich – Value £11.0m
    New build construction of a 74 flats and a commercial unit in three blocks for Genesis Housing Association benefiting from a solar photovoltaic power system.
  • Fairfield Road, Bow – Value £18.5m
    Construction of new residential development providing 146 units for shared ownership & rent

High Specification Housing

  • Royal Lodge, Windsor - Value £6.5m
    Emergency call outs, additional works, snagging and defects were attended to in close liaison with the Royal Household following Allenbuild’s refurbishment of the Royal Lodge for the Duke of York.
  • Mayford Grange, Woking - Value £7.5m
    A new build development for Retirement Villages Ltd comprising 46 self contained apartments, restaurant and clubhouse for the retired. The development also benefits from solar photovoltaic panels and a combined heat and power plant.

Commercial

  • St Columba’s House, Woking - Value £1.9m
    The refurbishment and extension of a religious retreat offering overnight accommodation, full catering and conference facilities, benefiting from a solar hot water system.

Health / Special Needs Housing

  • Barking Road, Plaistow - Value £5.5m
    Construction of a new Life Skills and Turnaround Centre including 23 associated apartments with additional Keyworker apartments with basement car parking.
  • Ponders End, Enfield - Value £1.6m
